Conference Information

Fees and Registration

The registration fee ($35 if received by January 31 or $45 after) includes keynote address, three workshops, continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments, exhibits and special events. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until February 16 via mail, March 1 online, but walk in registrations are accepted on the day of the conference. Registration may close prior to those dates is the conference limit of 750 is reached. REGISTRATION IS NON-REFUNDABLE but is transferable. You may allow another person to use your registration, but she must attend your chosen sessions or you must contact the conference administrators via email.

The DWC Annual Fine Art Show

The Fine Art Show will be exhibited in Spring 2008 through the Wilmington Art Loop, Wilmington and the Dover Art League, Dover. Art will also be exhibited at Clayton Hall, Newark during the conference. For more information on the Art Show

2008 Impact Your Community Award

The Delaware Women’s Conference 2008 Impact Your Community Award is a unique opportunity to recognize one woman who has made a significant contribution to the development and improvement of the Delaware community.

Financial Assistance

A limited number of scholarships (both registration scholarships and University of Delaware student scholarships) are available for those who cannot otherwise afford to attend. If you need financial assistance, send an email with your contact information. There are a limited number of scholarships. Registration scholarships ($15 registration fee still required) are funded by donations ($5 and up) or direct scholarship sponsorships ($35) . University of Delaware student scholarships are funded by the University of Delaware Office of Women’s Affairs.

Accessibility

Clayton Hall is accessible for people with disabilities. The keynote address will be signed. Those requiring further information regarding visual or auditory needs are asked to call (302) 761-8005. Parking and Shuttle Service (Recommended after 8:15 a.m.). Parking at Clayton Hall is not adequate to accommodate all Conference attendees. Carpooling is encouraged. Overflow parking is available at the Hollingsworth Fine Arts Building (Cleveland Ave. at N. College Ave.) parking lot. A free shuttle bus will provide transportation to Clayton Hall from the overflow lot.

Directions to Clayton Hall Conference Center

Clayton Hall is on the North Campus of the University of Delaware, just off Route 896 in Newark. From I-95, take Exit 1-B (Route 896 North-Newark). Follow South College Avenue until it dead ends at Main Street. Turn left, and then turn right onto New London Road (896 North) at the Deer Park Tavern. Follow gold and blue signs to the Clayton Hall Conference Center on your right.
